Welcome to U-Learn

U-Learn is a virtual learning platform designed to provide educational, informational, and media resources to youth leaders throughout East and Central Africa. U-Learn is part of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Center East Africa's outreach program, and is designed to enable, empower, and enhance the knowledge and skills of young leaders who will be the difference-makers in the region. You can find out more about the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa by logging onto our website at www.yalieastafrica.org or downloading our e-brochure.

U-Learn is about providing all types of information that will increase knowledge and skills, including scholarly articles, videos, "Top Ten" lists of best practices, blogs, podcasts, and much more. For those that want to immerse themselves in leadership, there is comprehensive content to do so. For those who want to explore more concise "tips" to impact leadership, these are available as well.

U-Learn is a dynamic virtual learning platform, meaning that it will continue to grow and expand. New content will be added by the Center regularly, but we are also interested in YOUR content. We know that many of you are expert bloggers, trainers, and curriculum developers, so if you want to explore the linkage of your content to U-Learn, simply click on YOUR CONTENT and provide us basic information to begin a discussion.

This platform, as with everything we do at the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa, is supported by our partners, specifically the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the MasterCard Foundation, Kenyatta University, and Deloitte, along with a host of other private and public sector partners.

U-Learn is designed to augment, not replace, the interactive experience that youth leaders gain from being involved in one of our Cohorts, which includes four weeks of on-site instruction at our Center in Nairobi, Kenya along with eight weeks of virtual learning on a platform we provide. The Center is open to youth between 18-35 years of age from Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Djibouti, Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of Congo, Burundi, Central African Republic, and Somalia. Application cycles are listed on our website, www.yalieastafrica.org. Whether or not you decide to apply, U-Learn is a resource for you to gain information, build your skills, and obtain different perspectives.

We hope you enjoy U-Learn. To help us make it better, please click Talk to Us and provide input on the content, ease of use, or any other issue that you feel is appropriate.
